one of the complaints our fans have is that PC pushes the "competition thing" a little too hard which results in injuries...i don't buy that but you will never see anyone "letting up" in practice.

in these practices, how does your boy PC simulate the crowd noise, nerves, pressure, and atmosphere that Barkley will be experiencing on September 12th?

if you don't have a valid answer for these questions, you don't have a valid point at all in saying "Barkley will be prepared for what he will see when he faces OSU by what he sees everyday in practice".

can anyone offer any advice on tailgating? we like to come early and stay late. where should we try to target?

advice: bring a different attitude than the one you have been displaying the previous 10 pages on this forum. either that, or pre-dial 911 in your phone before you hit High St or Lane Ave.

we were led to believe that you were friendly?

not sure if serious?

if so, you were led to believe wrong. we are notorious for being assh*les to opposing teams (not something we are proud of, but some fans give the masses a bad name), especially during a night game when everyone has had plenty of time to drink before kickoff. I have seen PLENTY of fans get punched, pushed around, etc., when stepping out of line/getting brave/lippy/etc. you seem like a prime candidate to get stomped (serious).

try having a better attititude then you have displayed on here, and you might make it home safe. if you can't do these simple things... good luck.

You make it sound like he's going to Happy Valley. We're not barbarians. Come to our state, root for your team. We hope you have fun (but not too much fun.)

I've been a student at OSU since 2005, I'm just stating what I have seen, and what I do see... over and over.

I also specifically stated "some fans give us all a bad name." I went to Austin in 2006... nicest fans in the world. Not what I see on Saturday's in Columbus... just sayin'.

:oh:

I'm sorry, after reading where you suggested somebody pre-dial 911 because they're a prime candidate to get stomped I should have known that you would care a whole lot about warm welcomes.

WELCOME. Be sure to stop by the "Sound Off" thread.

USC fans can feel free to do so as well - without fear of getting stomped hopefully.

and where the other guy said he would be watching the game from the emergency room, there was no problem with that?

it was a joke... any idiot would know he wouldn't have to call 911 for himself. there will be plenty of cops around for this very reason.

and no, I'm not worried about giving the USC fans a "warm welcome"... I couldn't give a phuck less about them, tbh. I won't talk to them, they won't talk to me. both of us should have a good time until about 11pm when one of our nights turns bad.

dude, you need to sit down and shut up. it's fans like you that give the rest of us a bad reputation. this kind of attiture is NOT ACCEPTIBLE and should not be treated lightly. if you see any other buckeye fans punching or throwing stuff at our visiters you need to step up and say something. this is not how you treat guests and this is not what Tressel expects of us.

This is probably what you see when you're partying at the "O" or with some loser 18 year olds trying to act cool, but i'll be damned if this is the kind of reputation I let the school I love continue to have. USC fans should not be afraid to travel with their team and come to Columbus to cheer them on. Tressel laid down the law a few years back and the Ohio State fans have calmed it down since the 2005 season. You're too young to know, but when I was at Ohio State was when it was really bad. We have come a long way since the riots in 2002 and we're not going back.

If you think punching or throwing a beer can at an opposing fan is ok because they get a little boysterous, then you my friend, are not a Buckeye.

the reason I know this happens (unlike the fans here that are in such a denial about it) is because I have been the one pulling our idiot fans off of harmless opposing fans... so perhaps you should "sit down and shut up", or at least rethink that comment. I don't condone that behavior, and I do what I can (within reason) to prevent it. however, I am not their daddy, so I am not there to control everyone who happens to be at the same venue as I do's behavior. people are going to act how they want to act, and that is that. the best I can realistically do is help break it up if it happens, which I have always done (have even gotten hit in doing so).

your post is completely off base, as I don't condone, or appreciate this behavior by our fans. I am simply stating the facts, it's not like it's a big secret. as for your other "hero-ish" comments; sorry to break it to you, but you, or I, aren't going to make it stop.

and for the record, no, I don't party at the "O". I am 24, and have either partied at my place on campus (where I never saw a single fight), and I have partied at Little Bar/Lane bars, or Hineygate. these are the places where I have seen fights, usually between middle aged idiots who wants to be hardasses in front of their buddies, and "show their diehard love for the Buckeyes". so again, it wasn't the "punk ass 18 year olds", they are the ones who can behave themselves.
