HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

Serious question. Who is there that would be a good fit and get OSU back on track? Don't say Vrabel, Urban or Saban because none of them are coming. In all reality, who is out there that A) Truly gets the rivalry, and B) can get this team where it should be?

( just want to say I'm not asking as a defense for keeping Day, I'm finally off that train. I'm just curious to hear some realistic names)
Everyone except many Dabo, Lanning and Kirby would be willing to pick up and come be our coach

Inexcusable game plan. Inexcusable lack of adjustments. Team was tight. Even the announce crew was calling stuff out. tCun struggles with tempo, we barely used it. Couldn't scheme to get the ball to our receivers against a weak tCun secondary. Predictable, cowardly playcalling. It's unbelievable how many layers of failure there were today. Ryan Day is not built to participate in this rivalry. Neither is Chip Kelly. And most of the players have had that bleed into them.

Need wholesale changes and a fresh approach.

My feelings exactly. It's going to mean blowing up the program and probably several mediocre seasons, but I think that Ryan Day is done at Ohio State. I honestly don't know if there is anyone available who will be better than Day.
True but mediocre still means 10 wins here. As long as one of those is that piece of shit school of mouth breathing cheats, it's worth it.

This man concocted a game plan that was the only game plan that played directly into scUMs strengths. I think he’s still stuck on proving he’s not “soft” which is incredibly stupid.

I actually really like Ryan Day. Seems like a great human. But whose fucking idea was it to ignore our stable of Ferraris on the outside to try to run right into the strength of the defense? Their best CB is out, and we don’t even throw deep?

The OSU offensive gameplan today might as well have been designed by Michigan. Because we played right into their strengths and ignored ours.

The defense deserved better.

I don't need an 'Ohio guy', but Jon Sumrall and Bob Chesney are two guys I believe highly in.

or we can just add two simple questions to the job application form:

1. Explain, in detail, the pain and suffering and indignities tsun has caused you, personally and directly.

2. Where does that suffering rate among the other painful times and personal attacks you have experienced in your life?
Tressel and Meyer would have no answer. Because they beat those fuckers

Gut wrenching loss

I could sympathize with the look on Day's face at the end. The man doesn't have answers. He's built a talented team but ultimately soft team that cowers in the big games.

Idk if it was Kelly or Day's fault, but the offensive play calling was atrocious today.
Only player that was soft today was Jay Fielding. How the fuck you miss 2 chip shot FGs is baffling.

The offensive play calling was literally the worst I've ever seen. Even Joel Klatt was wondering why the hell they kept running right into Graham and Grant when they were dominating.

Day did not miss two field goals. He did not take out half of his offensive line. He did not throw two interceptions.

He and his offensive coordinator, however, are responsible for perhaps the most inexcusable offensive game plan in many years. He did not place his offensive players in a position where they could succeed. I don't remember so many boos ever echoing around Ohio Stadium as fans watched this high-powered offense stumble its way through the game with such poor play calling.

I have not been on the "Fire Day" train. Instead, I believed that Ryan Day did not yet have the temperament to coach at Ohio State. It is clear that he has done his best this year and pushed himself to the brink, but it is time to admit that he is not the guy for this job. And it is time to admit that he just does not have the emotional resources to handle this responsibility.

Ohio State should not repeat the mistake of not firing John Cooper. It is time for a new head coach at Ohio State, even if that has an effect on the transfer window. It is enough even if it means a few down years. This is simply unacceptable.

Day is directly responsible for the miserable kicking situation. Seems like he didn’t even try to get a decent one in the portal. Which means he looked at what we have and said “good enough”
