BILLY FESSLER

POSITION GRADUATE ASSISTANT – OFFENSE

Billy Fessler joined the Ohio State coaching staff in 2020 and will serve as an offensive graduate assistant for the Buckeyes.

Fessler comes to Ohio State after spending the 2019 at Mississippi State where he was an offensive graduate assistant under Joe Morehead. Prior to that, Fessler was a graduate assistant for one season at Slippery Rock where he coached running backs.

No stranger to the Big Ten, Fessler played quarterback at Penn State from 2014-18 and was also the team’s primary holder on field goals and extra points. A Dean’s List student, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance in May of 2018.

Prior to Penn State, Fessler was a standout quarterback at Erie Cathedral Prep. He led Cathedral Prep to three district championships as well as the 2012 PIAA Class AAAA State championship.

KENNEDY COOK

POSITION GRADUATE ASSISTANT - OFFENSE

Kennedy Cook is in his second season with the Ohio State football program and first as an offensive graduate assistant. Cook spent the 2019 season as an offensive line intern.

Prior to Ohio State, Cook spent two years as a graduate assistant at Miami University. He played his college football at Whittenberg University from 2013-16 and was a first-team All North Coast Athletic Conference selection as a senior. Cook was a three-year starter who helped the Tigers to a 37-8 record over his career.

An Ohio native, Cook was a captain and four-year letterwinner at Kings High School in Maineville, Ohio. He was a three-time selection as the Anthony Munoz Offensive Lineman of the Year Division II.

Cook earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Whittenburg in 2017.

LORENZO JACKSON

POSITION GRADUATE ASSISTANT - DEFENSE

Lorenzo Jackson joined the Ohio State football program in the summer of 2020 and will assist Larry Johnson with coaching the Buckeyes’ defensive linemen.

A native of Monroe, La., Jackson played collegiately at the University of Louisiana Monroe, redshirting in 2011 and then earning letters from 2012-15. His top statistical season came as a junior in 2014 when he amassed 46 tackles and 2.5 sacks. While at Louisiana Monroe, Jackson majored in history.

Jackson’s collegiate coaching stops, prior to Ohio State, were at Grambling State and most recently as a graduate assistant at North Texas.
