Give or Receive?

With Christmas just a few days away I was wondering, do you prefer to give or receive?

I personally love to give. I love the thrill of the hunt for the perfect gift for each person. I honestly get excited over how excited I think the other person is going to be because I got them exactly what they wanted.

Don't get me wrong, I like to receive to!

If we're talking dings I think the answer is quite obvious.


As I've gotten older I prefer giving more than receiving.

I like to give as well... I like to see the look on the faces as I always try to get cool gifts instead of practical gifts. I'm always afraid when I open a present I'm not going to like it and my reaction will show it. Sometimes you have to say things like "no, it's great, I can defiantly use it" and keep a straight face while doing it.

In your house I'd imagine showing any kind of disappointment with a gift, especially one from your kids, could have some serious consequences.

Before I open the gifts from the kids I go out and start my car so I can make a quick getaway if they come after me.
