Per multiple sources, for the second consecutive day, the University of Georgia is losing a member of their football program staff to Texas A&M. Bulldog Maven received a report earlier today that Marshall Malchow, Director of Player Personnel for the Georgia Bulldogs football program, will be heading to Texas A&M alongside former Offensive Coordinator James Coley.

The timing is something to pay attention to here as all of this is happening during a key weekend of official visits for Georgia. The Augusta, Georgia native has done good work for the Dawgs and has been credited with helping UGA build up the roster that they currently have.

Kirby Smart and Marshall Malchow became close during their time at Alabama under Nick Saban. Malchow reportedly worked directly under Smart when he was the Crimson Tide's defensive coordinator. Later on, the then Alabama staffer would go on to hold the title of Director of On-Campus Recruiting at Louisville, Assistant Director of Player Personnel at Boise State, and Director of Player Personnel at Washinton.

When Kirby Smart took over the program at Georgia, Malchow wasn't too far behind. In 2017 Marshall Malchow's work did not go unnoticed as he was named the 2017 FootballScoop Player Personnel Director of the Year presented by AstroTurf.

Details of the agreement between Texas A&M and Malchow are unknown at this time but we can confirm he is taking the same position ion at A&M.

Coming soon between the Hedges - Beer and Wine sales.

Not necessarily because of public outcry, but because of money. Like most things, when your competition finds new revenue streams you're going to work to match it:

The issue is stadium set up. Since it wasn't built to accommodate the mandatory beer refrigeration systems, where are you gonna put these vendors?

How did Ohio Stadium handle this? Did they:

A). Use the portable beer stands separate from normal concession stands?
B). Build/modify existing ones for keg fridges

I think the general consensus around UGA was they would like to stick to draft beers since it creates less of a waste issue than plastic bottles (like you see at some NFL games).

LSU figured it out pretty quick.

    and we didn’t use kegs.
used 16oz cans and poured them into cups.

most existing concession stands also sold beer, but there were a few portable stand alone beer stands too.

I haven't been to a game at Vandy in awhile, but they decided to sell this year and the portable stands cause alot of problems.
Lines getting way, way backed up and causing too much congestion.

lines will get backed up either way.
at LSU the permanent stands had stupid long lines too.

unless you have vendors walking up and down aisles selling it (which i believe is still against SEC rules), most of these really old Stadiums aren’t equipped for the additional traffic back there.

also, i think i see why UGA underachieves every single year

we are on a fan forum discussing College Football and you bring up freaking Vanderbilt when discussing your program moving forward.

maybe if y’all set your sights a little higher...

Didn't Vandy run out of booze for the LSU game? This is what @BigWoof31 strives to be? For shame! 8D

I'm SHOCKED that LSU could quickly figure out how to serve people alcohol.

i’m shocked they sold as much as they did.

that Stadium has always been full of Alcohol on game days.
just now people have to pay extortion rates to buy it from LSU.
thought for sure people would just keep bringing it in like before.

So you’re sayin they’ll sell booze on the field, right? Cuz your hedges are around the field, not around the fans? Or are the fans too drunk to know where the hedges are?
