osu.edu ROCKS!!!

Who is "we" teach? The terminally bored? FSU has a national rep as one of the power programs the last twenty years, still has a Hall of Fame Coach, and is begging people to buy season tickets for $250??? I don't care it is FSU or any team from any major conference that is a player on the national scene. That strikes me as particularly pathetic. Is there a Big-10 school that sells season tix for that little? C'mon....

For comparison:

Illinois is selling a season pass for $60 for end zone seats for 6 home games ($214 for regular seats).

Indiana is $230 for 7 games.

Iowa is $282 for 6 home games.

Minnesota is $250 for 7 games.

Michigan State is $286, also for 7 games.

Northwestern's asking for $206 for 7 home games this year.

Penn State was $343 for 7 games (sold out).

Purdue has 7 home games for $245, end zone seats for $126.

I couldn't find season prices online for tOSU, TSUN, and Wisconsin.

Then my bad. I honestly had no idea.....the high demand for SEC tix in most venues (sans Vandy and Miss State) is such that it seems incomprehensible to me to be able to get tix for that amount. Unbelievable! We have to fork over $12,000.00 a year at UF for the assured right to buy new season tickets....wish I'd bought them years ago, but it was hard to get to Florida for the games.

SEC season tickets:
Auburn = $285 for mini-season (excludes Alabama game)
LSU = $305
Florida = $224
Couldn't find official prices for Georgia or Alabama.

Most big programs (FSU included) have to fork over a good chunk of change for the rights to buy season tickets. The ticket prices themselves are pretty low...it's getting in the door to buy them that's the bitch.
