The Buckeyes are also busy hosting many recruits on unofficial visits for spring practices.
Ohio State’s first week of spring practices brought a plethora of headlines along with it. Many of those headlines focused on how the next crop of Buckeyes is looking on the field. There are many position battles taking place this spring, including at the most important position: quarterback.
Another headline grabber has been Ohio State getting to work in recruiting. The Buckeyes hosted dozens of players during the first week of practices, and this week will be nothing but the same. Monday kicked off the week with another handful of recruits being on campus to take in these practices.
The recruiting visits have led to Ohio State dishing out multiple scholarship offers to recruits in both the current 2026 recruiting cycle and also in future cycles as well. The Buckeyes have also been fortunate to be named finalists for many blue-chip recruits following the visits — all in the first week — and on Monday the Buckeyes learned they made the top four schools for a 2026 wide receiver.
Four-star WR Brayden Robinson (Red Oak, TX / Red Oak) has released his top four schools, and Ohio State made the cut.
Alongside Ohio State, Robinson also included Arizona, Notre Dame and Miami in his top four schools. Robinson also has official visits already scheduled with all four of his finalists. He will first visit Arizona May 30 and then will travel to Miami June 6. Ohio State will be the recipient of his third visit on June 13, and Notre Dame will get the last visit on June 20.
Ohio State has long been recruiting Robinson, and the Buckeyes offered him in June of last year following a summer recruiting visit. Since then the Ohio State coaching staff has remained in consistent communication with him and Robinson has also stated on multiple occasions his level of respect for coaches Ryan Day and Brian Hartline.
Robinson is the No. 50 WR in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and is the No. 325 overall prospect. He is also the No. 44 rated recruit out of the talent-rich state of Texas.
One of the recruits to visit Ohio State on Monday was 2026 four-star athlete Jacob Eberhart (St. Louis, MO / Kirkwood). The visit went as well as possible, as he left Columbus with an official scholarship offer from the Buckeyes.
The Buckeyes will have some stiff competition for Eberhart as he already holds nearly 40 scholarship offers from the likes of Missouri, Illinois, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida State, Iowa, Indiana, LSU, Miami, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Wisconsin and others.
The Missouri native plays multiple positions for his high school team but projects more as a linebacker at the next level. He could look to play wide receiver or safety at the college level but he is built like a linebacker, standing at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds.
Eberhart is the No. 24 ATH in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and is also the No. 397 overall prospect. He is also the No. 6 recruit out of Missouri.
Ohio State played host to many of the nation’s top prospects on Monday. In fact, the day was so busy for Ryan Day, he was roughly an hour late to his press conference with the media.
There is no rest for the wicked though, as Tuesday will be more of the same with another large group of recruits planning on visiting with the Buckeyes. Below are just some of the recruits planning on making the trip to Columbus Tuesday.
