we would always buy about $300 worth of fireworks and set them off when we lived up north... we don't do it anymore because Florida is dry and I don't want to burn my neighborhood down.

I love the Ohio laws. You can buy all the fireworks you want in Ohio. But you can't use them in Ohio. Also you have to be 18 to buy them here.

I remember about 4 years ago when I was in Montana during 4th of July. They are legal there. They had stands all over the place where you could just buy them. Also there was no age requirement.

My dad doesn't like me to touch them. He gets real freaked out.

Watching the white trash of north Dayton go nuts over fireworks each year left a pretty negative impression. Seeing the hillbillies of Cincinnati (namely my trashy in-laws) go crazy for them doesn't exactly make me enjoy them much either.

I don't know the different names for the fireworks that shoot up in the sky but I had a neighbor that was shooting either bottle rockets or roman candles one night. I got pretty mad because I had my then 2 year old and some nieces and nephews outside grilling when they shot one that when shooting right by my head.

I pretty much stick to the sparklers and the poppers. My 6 year old is happy enough with those.

My 6 year old loves to watch fireworks so we have to do them. To be honest it's fun and we all enjoy it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Dryden and buck4me are not my friends neighbors. They are a little redneck and get a little nuts this time of year....lol
