If you really want to piss off a Michigan fan bring up the fact that even though they stopped using it after he left Crisler created the design at Princeton, Michigan is not the first team to wear their winged helmets.

If you REALLY want to piss them off bring up the fact that Crisler wasn't the first coach to use winged helmets. He stole the idea from Charlie Bachman...of Michigan State.
