Optimism Lover
My immature side still appreciates the zoo. The better half wanted to go last weekend so we did and had a great time. A nice date I'd say. Anyhow, it made me think, I wonder what everyone's favorite animal is and why. Not to run over, just to observe and what not.

Mine is the cheetah. Kind of typical, but after watching a National Geographic special on it (easily hooked by these shows), I came away fascinated and then went on to watch multiple YouTube videos of it running down its prey and ripping them (gazelles usually) to shreds. The top end speed of the cheetah is between 70-80 mph. It can reach those speeds in 3 seconds or less. Insane.

What's yours and why?

I enjoy the large cat sections. Tigers, lions, cheetahs, jaguars, ligers, pumas, leopards. Pretty standard stuff.

I do enjoy nature shows about African wild dogs, too. Those little fuckers amuse me.

Seven different animals you can call pussy. Follow Stoo's lead and admit what's really going on with you and these animals.

Seeing as I haven't been to the zoo in about 20 years, I decided to check the Columbus Zoo's Web site to jog my memory about what kind of animals were held there. I must say, the description of the wolverine is fascinating, and pretty accurate, too:

http://columbuszoo.org/animalareas/namerica/anpg/wolvine.htm

Females [...] have a heavy build, large head, relatively small, rounded ears, a short tail, and massive limbs.

They have a keen sense of smell, but poor eyesight and hearing.

The wolverine warns others of its presence by discharging a strong-smelling fluid ... from an anal gland
