Fantasy Football Question (need help ASAP)

Gandolf

Junior
I am new to the world of Fantasy Football but I have a high stakes game going on with my friends at work. I need to decide which players to start and am not 100% sure on my RBs and WRs. I need to choose 2 RB, 2 WR, and then a 5th player that can be either a WR or a RB. Here are the players that I have available.

RBs

Willis McGahee (Baltimore Ravens)
Ray Rice (Baltimore Ravens)
Maurice Jones-Drew (Jacksonville Jaguars)
Chris Perry (Cincinnati Bengals)

WRs

Santonio Holmes (Pittsburgh Steelers)
Hines Ward (Pittsburgh Steelers)
Derrick Mason (Baltimore Ravens)
Amani Toomer (New York Giants) **He can't play as their game already happened**

What do the experts here at BP recommend? Thanks!

What is your scoring format? Do you get points per reception, or not?

I agree with HundedLane, with the caveat that you will want to make sure McGahee is playing today, and if he isn't put in Rice. In fact, I think those two are a tossup this week given that they won't play McGahee nearly as much as usual, as Rice has been looking quite good in the preseason.

Need to make some decisions here before I head out for the day. In two leagues, neither award points per reception.

In one league:
Matt Schaub (@ Pitt) or Marc Bulger (@ Philly)

Need a flex out of:
DMac (vs. Denver)
McGahee (vs. Cincy, worried about the knee/Ray Rice)
Chris Perry (@ Baltimore)
Gonzo (vs. Chicago)
Chester Taylor (@ GB)

Defense:
Iggles vs. St. Louis
Pack vs. Minny

In the other league:

Berrian (@ GB) or Coles (@ Miami)

Iggles vs. STL or Pats vs. KC.

Real Quick: David Gerard vs the Titans or Phillip Rivers vs the Raiders?

Titans give up the most fantasy points to QB's, but Rivers is proven.
Gerard put up 25 on the Titans in week 5 but theyre coming off a BYE week.

Any suggestions?

Sure hope you didn't go with Gerrard. I needed a bye week fill in for Brady so I chose Gerrard and he's playing like shit, of course.

The running backs I started this week were Chris Johnson, Maurice Jones-Drew and Ray Rice.

Not bad when three players give you 81.4 points, and two of them still have some time left in their games.

And I honestly can't think of a situation in which I would start David Garrard over Philip Rivers. I'm starting Rivers if he's going against a healthy Steelers' D and if Garrard is going against the Bucs.
