Does anyone have any experience with divx dvd players? Do they do a good job of playing video files burned on DVD's or are they pretty limited in the files that they can play? I have a bunch of tv shows downloaded that my dad would like, but I don't really want to waste that many DVD's when I can fit a lot more on disk if I burn them as files.

Hmmm...Ok how about this. After reading your post I'm under the assumption that I can burn files on to a disc (movie files) and play them on my laptop with divx even though I don't have a dvd-rw drive. Would I have to compress the files first into a .rar form or is it even possible??

please explain.....:p
