DirecTV guys, who is your ISP?

  • I've been thinking of giving cable the boot for awhile but didn't want to give up my internet service. Keeping my cable ISP and getting DTV was going to double my monthly cost and I just couldn't justify it.

What are you guys using? How does the cost compare to cable service for everything? Any advice will be appreciated.

You may want to look into a provider called Current Communications. Go to www.curent.net to see if it's available in your area. It's a high speed connection that comes thru your electrical outlets. There are different levels of speed and options. I don't have cable or satellite, and I think it was cheaper than going those routes for ISP without bundling. I've been with Current for over a year, and have never had problems. I've got the next to lowest priced package, and it's just like when I had roadrunner a few years ago. Worth a look.

    Thanks, guys.

Still not sure what I'm going to do. It pisses me off that I don't the BTN, and I'd like Sunday ticket, but I also go on some weekend road trips during football season so I'm not sure it's worth the expense if I won't be here some weekends.

    Decisions, decisions...:p
