Dayne Crist (Transfering to Kansas, reuniting with Weis)

Bobby Hoying

All-American
Uh oh here we go again. He got his release from ND and is shopping around. Wiscy, San Diego State, and Utah look to be interested in him.

The Chicago Tribune reported late Saturday night that Crist has asked for, and been granted a release from, his Notre Dame scholarship. The decision to transfer was finalized late last week following a conversation between Crist and head coach Brian Kelly.

Hate it. Hate it, hate it, hate it. Crist is damaged goods and a bust. Plus, this will be terrible for recruiting if Wisconsin gets the rep as a school that consistently brings in hired guns. Courting Wilson was a good move in retrospect, but the Badgers definitely shouldn't make a habit of it.

Don't think so. Similar to Wilson situation.

From the article:
Crist, who suffered season-ending injuries each of the previous two seasons, will graduate in December, meaning he could transfer to another school and play during the 2012 season, provided his new school offers a graduate program not available at his former school.
