Things are starting to heat up across the nation as we near February 3rd — Signing Day for the Class of 2016.
For the most part, the Ohio State coaching staff has already solidified the players that they look forward to seeing on campus and as part of the program as producers from the get go. A lot of the student athletes making their way to Columbus have already been highly publicized.
Nick Bosa is already being idolized as a better defensive end than his brother, even though he has never proven anything on the collegiate gridiron and is bouncing back from a serious ACL injury.
At running back, Antonio Williams plans to enroll in January to give him the best chance to compete for the starting job in 2016. With Ezekiel Elliott moving on to the NFL, he’ll have a great chance at competing for playing time with Mike Weber and Bri’onte Dunn.
At wide receiver, Indiana native Austin Mack has been considered the best receiver in the class by the Ohio State offensive coaching staff. The question is, will he be joined by another top receiver in the 2016 class.
According to recruiting analysts, Detroit King wide receiver Donnie Corley is still considering his options, but it seems like Ohio State is picking up steam every single day.
Could Donnie Corley become one of the final pieces for Ohio State in 2016?
VSporto’s Sanjay Kirpalani and Tyler Donohue break down the latest news and notes surrounding Corley on Recruitniks and ponder if Urban Meyer and company can pull Corley out of the state of Michigan.
Want to know just how big of a playmaker Donnie Corley is? Check out this highlight of his from the MHSAA Division I State Championship game from Ford Field. The stud wide receiver made a game-winning catch against the Lowell Red Arrows in the back corner of the endzone.
Corley is considering offers from Michigan State and Michigan, while also recently receiving a scholarship offer from the University of Miami.
He’s considered the best prospect out of the state of Michigan in the 2016 class.
