FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Finally, Mike Holloway can check off another goal as Mission: Accomplished.
Totaling 57 points with the help of individual championships by sophomores Jeff Demps (60 meters) and Christian Taylor (triple jump), Florida won its first men?s overall title as the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships concluded Saturday at the Randal Tyson Track Center. Oregon and Texas A&M tied for second, 13 points behind the Gators.

Nice to see Gator Running Back Jeff Demps have some jets in the 60. :banger:

Congrats Gator, quite an accomplishment for the Florida track team. Looks like Florida pretty much owned the sprints... about time that SEC speed paid off.

Ohio State athletes of note:
Jeff See earned yet another All-American honor by finishing 6th in the mile with a time of 4:04.34.
Matt DeChant just missed making the finals in the shot put and finished 10th with a best throw of 18.23.
Thomas Murdaugh also just missed the finals in the 400m, finishing 9th with a time of 46.75.
Dan White had an off day and finished 13th in the 800m.
On the women's side Christina Manning earned All-American honors by finishing 7th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.30. She also finished 18th in the 200m.
Shaniqua McGinnis finished 13th in the 400m.
Letecia Wright finished 12th in the 60m hurdles.

A couple of other side notes...
Oregon multi-athlete Ashton Eaton set a world record in the heptathlon, breaking Dan O'Brien's 17 year old record... amazing for that to happen at an NCAA meet.
Ohio native Angela Bizzarri (Illinois), 2009 cross country champion and 5000m outdoor champion, claimed another national title this time in the 3000m, winning with a time of 8:57.40. Other Ohio natives placing in the women's 3000m include Bridget Franek (Penn State, 7th) and Emily Infeld (Georgetown, 8th).

Yep - this forum is other "OSU" and professional sports. Now, with all the cheating possible in Gatorland...you might consider it a professional team....

seriously though - this is a buckeye board and I don't give a shit about Florida or any part of their program. You want to congratulate them - do it on the Florida board. Not here.
