Our friends at BreakingT have another absolute banger for all Buckeye fans
It was one of the gutsiest, most unexpected, biggest plays in Ohio State history. It was 3rd-and-11 with 2:38 in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game and Notre Dame was doing everything it could to get one last shot to snatch the national title away from the Buckeyes.
As it appeared that Ryan Day and Chip Kelly would be content to bleed to clock and force the Irish to use their final timeout, quarterback Will Howard dropped back and through it to the only man in the route, freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith. Having beaten his defender, J.J. hauled in the 56-yard completion essentially icing the game and the national championship for the Scarlet and Gray.
Now, our friends from BreakingT have an officially licensed shirt commemorating that historic moment. All postseason, Day and the Buckeyes talked about leaving no doubt. So when the game was on the line, there was only one person that the offense could turn to.
