Climates (split from recruiting)

I'll take San Diego over the festering humid pit that is FL anyday.

Boys....
I have to disagree for completely diff. reasons.
I AM A NORTHERN BOY WHO HATES IT WHEN THE TEMP IS OVER 70.
I can deal with 70 but only if it's not humid.
I love it from 20 -60.
Don't enjoy the 20's and 30's as much when it's raining but I like it a lot better than the 80's.
Having a working horse farm the physical work keeps me plenty warm.
I can't imagine how these players do it in the warm states.
Lived in LA and GA and hated the humidity.

Sorry, NorthShoreBuck, but I've never been anywhere more miserable than New Orleans in August. It was painful. I don't think I could ever live in Florida or Georgia either.

I never thought I could live in Florida but we've been here a year and it's not that bad. Right now it's beautiful out.... being here in the summer is just like being up north in the winter.... here, you from the house A/C to the car A/C to work A/C. Up north you from the house HEAT to the car HEAT to the work HEAT. I prefer it cold but I'm suprised how much I have adjusted this year from last... it was 50 out the other night and I almost put on a jacket :tongue2:

Houston gets nuts-hot in the middle of August.

I grew up all over the country and have to say that out west in Colorado it was very comfortable. Never ridiculously cold or hot, but a good range of temperatures. You could go skiing and swimming in the same day.

Hawaii I'm sure is probably the closest thing to a perfect environment on this planet. So yeah, Mili...what do you to do to live there? Work on sugar plantation? Seems like tourism is what keeps that state alive. My friend is doing his residency there...lucky bastard.

I have lived and worked all over also.
I hate the heat and humidity of the gulf south, especially in the summer. That is the trade off we make to get excellent springs and falls with short or no winter.
I do not like snow. Temperatures between 0 and 32F don't bother me but you can keep the snow. I only wear a jacket when I deer hunt, in Ohio.
Topography has a lot to do with it. I like hills or mountains but of course I live at sea level in a flat landscape. I prefer the surburban almost rural to the more urban environment.

Cali has nice weather but crazy prices and crazier people, sorry Methomps.:wink2:

I think it easier to make the move from cold to warm. The snow and cold factors are tough for southerners.

Kids that play ball and expect to go to the next level realize they will play in cold climates. Do not let anyone lie to you; it hurts much more to tackle some dude when the ground is frozen and so are you.

San Diego is definitely the place for me.

Lived in Las Cruces, NM for 3 years...very hot, but no humidity, so not too bad compared to the east

I will admit that when I went to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><ST1:pSan Diego</ST1:p last January the scenery was awesome. I think that area has the most beautiful women. Went to <ST1:pMexico</ST1:p and drank some Tequila with the locals (fun).
Not use to the city and some of the characters were a little rough.<O:p</O:p
One night, very late, coming back to the hotel on the trolley some guy was going to rob me.<O:p</O:p
I think he under estimated this old farmer. I've taken the best shot from my 1,500 lbs stallion and got back up and took'm out. Some 200 pound guy didn't bother me much. Needless to say he went home empty handed that night.<O:p</O:p
We have some rednecks here at home also so I'm not judging.

I admit - I used to just like it warm, but the older I get, the more I like the seasons. I cant imagine a Cmas with palm trees. Colored foliage and college football go hand and hand to me. (Two best times of the year IMO). Ever see springtime in NYC?

You can keep 90 and humid in Miami. Give me the season.
