High School Cleveland Glenville will scrimmage Youngstown Cardinal Mooney in August

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but I just heard from a reliable source that Cleveland Glenville will scrimmage Youngstown Cardinal Mooney in Youngstown this August (date unknown). I don't want to make a big deal about a scrimmage, but there will be lots of talent on display, including several Ohio State recruits on both sides. Currently, Mooney has two players with OSU offers in QB/SS Dan McCarthy & FB/LB Mike Zordich, while Glenville has one player with an offer in WR/CB Cordale Scott, and both teams have a number of propects who remain on the Buckeye radar. This will be a great test for both programs as Mooney will open the first two weeks of the season up against Mentor & Gateway (PA), while Glenville will play Warren Central (IN) & Long Beach Poly (CA). This scrimmage will bring the best out of both teams, and it will go a long way in preparing them for the 2007 season.

Over on Rivals front page you can watch the highlights of the scrimmage for free. From what I understand, Mooney won the scrimmage. For Glenville, Marcus Halle really seemed to shine and there wasn't much mention of Cordale Scott, besides for one tackle behind the LOS. McCarthy looked special, Zordich is an absolute beast, Beachum looked good at LB, and Hill seems to have a knack for making plays as well. No mention of Simon throughout the feature. But ND, PSU, and Oklahoma have got some good players headed their way.
