Cincinnati Bengals (Just Burrow In)

Source: Bengals Pro Bowl DE Trey Hendrickson requests trade

Cincinnati Bengals three-time Pro Bowl defensive end Trey Hendrickson has requested to be traded, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Hendrickson, who is due to make $15 million this season, is looking for more long-term security than Cincinnati has been willing to offer, the source said. He is under contract through the 2025 season.

The Bengals, however, are not interested in trading their star pass-rusher, Schefter reports.

Trey’s agent is a fucking moron. Maybe don’t accept a deal 9 months ago if you wanted a pay raise?

Yeah I don't see him going anywhere, but the request is fluffin stupid for this one. Trey is likely playing for us (same for Higgins) despite the noise. But it does irritate you because our draft strategy could be drastically altered depending on either player returning or not.

Mims concerns me with how little he played, but the upside is massive. We took a gamble there, but kind of got our hand forced after how the earlier picks played out (and not trying to move up). Seattle and the Vikings snag the best DL sitting there because we don't have the foresight. Mims better turn into his upside in year 2 (maybe even year 1 if someone gets hurt) because Joe's health depends on it and article. C- pick for the aforementioned reasons.

Any insight on why he played so few snaps? Was it injury or something else? He's exciting as a prospect and we should have a year for him to develop if he needs it, but I shared the announcers concerns on not playing much.

In 2022, he was behind Broderick Jones. Who was taken Pick 14 by the Steelers in the 2023 NFL Draft.
He started one season, had tightrope surgery (same as Brock Bowers) on his Ankle after the South Carolina game and worked hard to get back into shape. After the loss to Bama in the SECCG, he sat out the 60 point win in the Orange Bowl over FSU.

Blessing and a curse. When you recruit ALOT of high star recruits, if they stick around some simply won't have as much tape or starts when their time comes to turn pro. He sat behind a first rounder and became a first rounder. Best possible scenario for Mims (and UGA tbh)

Really appreciate that background, makes me feel a lot better about the pick and gives context to the criticisms. There's more questioning his talent and intangibles. I kind of thought maybe it's a good thing if he didn't play a ton in terms of health and longevity if the lack of snaps wasn't all attributed to a health issue.

Just didn't know if was a health or endurance issue (or effort), was going to research it but you being a UGA fan is much more reliable to me. Hope he is our franchise OT that we desperately need for Joe.
