So, I decided to give Zoomtown a try after years of using Time Warner internet so I could get a good price on a bundle with phone. The guy from TW warned me not to do it that the speed would be awful, but TW's phone is way too expensive for my needs. CB was advertising up to 5MBps download, so I figured that would be fine, and the advertised price was only $10 more a month than I was paying for just internet with TW. I've had the service for about a month. First there were several hidden costs, totalling nearly $20 a month (quoted price=$56, total bill=$74). Never get more than 1.3MBps down, service is spotty and speeds often drop or go out. It doesn't work well with my router, which was never a problem with TW and I rarely had to reboot (only if cable was out). The stupid modem has a built in firewall which you can't readily disable for portforwarding and they won't support you if you do disable it. I can't torrent if my wife is on her computer because it shuts he out and you can't even watch a youtube without it stalling. So after a month of frustration, I call the help desk and they basically told me that there was nothing they could do. The guy offered to disconnect the service on the spot and did not offer any alternatives or solutions. I was amazed. I put in my order for TW and Vonage and will cancel as soon as it's installed. If you are shopping for internet in the Nati, buyer beware.
