FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP)?New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, the reigning NFL MVP, limped off the field in the first quarter of Sunday?s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brady remained on the turf after he was hit in the left leg by Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard. There was no immediate announcement on his injury or his status.

Brady had completed a 26-yard pass to Randy Moss, who fumbled the ball away when he was tackled. Backup Matt Cassel took over at the start of the next series.

That star quarterback, who did not play in the preseason, was 7-for-11 for 76 yards before leaving.

I didn't see the play. One of my friends called me and said it looked pretty bad, possibly a season ender.

He got it buckled under him. Hard to say how serious. They're calling him "questionable" for the 2nd half.

Saw a replay of it, I don't think it looked season ending but it looked like it hurt. Someone hit him low and he had his leg kind of buckle under him

On ESPNews they are saying that Pats players are saying Cassel is their QB the rest of the season. PFT says Brady has a torn ACL. Gee, you think the Pats are wishing they had developed Cassel more instead of running up the score last year?
