CFN 3 year overall program ranking

I know OU was in the title game twice but they got blown out both times. I think we should of been ahead of them because our overall schedule has been way better than theirs. The team that beat them b4 they got beat by LSU was the same team that we beat. Also when we lost to scUM in 03 for a chance to play USC for the NC, we lost to a team that is ranked in the top ten.

Michigan had elite win for beating OSU, but OSU didn't get any for beating Michigan??
Elite wins are over a team that finishes with 2 or fewer losses. It's been a hell of a lot longer than 3 years since LLLoyd pulled that one off.

Last time they had 2 or fewer losses was '99 :tongue2: However they are definitely more "elite" than south florida or navy
Agree 100% just pointing out the fine print on the "elite win" deal. Like I said, extra large grain of salt on this particular category, overall I am ok with the concept however. There are worse ways to rank teams than a standardized formula applied to all **cough-media polls-cough**.

junk

I didn't realize home attendance made a good football team??? (even though they did have us rated the highest in that category :wink2: )...

They didn't figure in final poll results which imo are very important...
