CFN 2005 Big 10 preview

Their predictions include an overall record of 32-2 for Big-10 teams in non-conference games. The only non-conference losses they're projecting are:

Illinois at Cal
NW'ern at Arizona State

Those who want to complain about a lack of respect for the Big-10 this year should remember that CFBNEWS.com has shown the Big-10 some serious respect prior to the season starting.

All in all, a pretty good read...

I was surprised that both of OSU's WRs made it to the first team, but I think I was even more surprised to see Bobby Carpenter not on at least the second team LBs. I am not at all familiar with Tim McGarigle from NU. Maybe there is a good case for him and I am sure he is a good player, but better than Carpenter? Also, every pro prospect analysis I have read has Hawk as at least a top 10 selection, yet he is not even mentioned by CFN as one of the 5 best Big Ten pro prospects.

Go Bucks!

McGarigle's had 290 tackles over the last 2 years, so he's got the numbers to justify the selection, although Carp is a better pro prospect than McGarigle.

290 tackles!! Wow....he definitely has the numbers to justify the selection. I think Carpenter is the better player, but it is hard to argue with those numbers.

Although it would be great to win the Big Ten; doing so while losing to Michigan would be a bitter pill to take.
I agree... Who cares if we don't beat meatchicken... if we don't it's only the big ten title, I want a BIG TEN TITLE Baby!!!

BLASPHEMY!!!!!:scum4:

Don't get me wrong, I want a B10 title too, but it's NEVER acceptable to lose to that team up north, and I cannot tolerate that same attitude they had last year when they backed into the Rose Bowl.

True...I was simply pointing out that CFN was still showing the team quite a bit of respect despite thinking we'd lose to scUM.

If you don't care about beating Michigan, then you're simply not a Buckeye fan.
