Will the Cavs make the playoffs?

Right now I don't think so. NJ is playing really well lately and the Cavs are just sitting around watching LeBron put up sick numbers. Jersey finishes with 2 of 3 games at home, while Cleveland has 2 of 3 on the road, including at Detroit. Cleveland is only 12 of 39 on the road.

Even if the Cavs do make it, there's no way they beat Miami.

I'm trying to be optimistic, but after years of disapointment it's real tough to think that they'll make it.

We have to finish a game above NJ because they have the tiebreaker over us, and we have Detroit, Boston, and Toronto left. Realistically, I see us only winning 1 of those games, hopefully NJ only wins 1 out of their final 3 as well.

Wow, and just a short time ago Cleveland fans were asking:

What spot will the cavs get in the playoffs.
2nd take over the Pistons and win their division 1 3.85%
4th they are tied now 10 38.46%
5th 5 19.23%
6th 4 15.38%
7th 2 7.69%
8th 2 7.69%
They won't make the playoffs

I just don't see it happening for the Cavs this year. Maybe next if they can get one of either Michael Redd, Ray Allen, Joe Johnson, or the Washington guy that killed us the other day (name slips my mind). Right now, the only bringing it every game is LeBron. Gooden had a terrible game against Washington, making his first basket in the 3 quarter on a dunk. J Mac had a pretty bad game as well, and Z was non-existent before fouling out with six minutes to play. Right now, I think they will end up tied with NJ which will leave them on the outside looking in. They've got Detroit on the road today. They have to bring their "A" game from here on out, and maybe they hold off Detroit to get the 8th seed and play Miami.

tonight is going to be very tell tale.. and probably will decide the issue... which is why I had the poll end tomorrow...

I will be so pissed if they don't make it... but they just look horrible... they don't look like a team at all... and they'll be embarrassed in Round One anyway...

Why is it so difficult to see the Cavs do not win when LeBron is forced to be an outside shooter.. they win when he drives... and passes...

Richard Jefferson is planning on returning to play for New Jersey soon... whether or not he'll help them get into the playoffs (or if he'll even play in the last 2 games) remains to be seen, but he thinks he's ready to go.

If the doctors gave him the OK, Jefferson said he would play in the Nets' final two regular-season games, at home Tuesday night against Washington and at Boston on Wednesday night.

Jefferson met with the doctors Saturday. He said they would test his hand strength this week.

"I feel good," Jefferson said. "Whether it's for the last two games or just the playoffs, I'm extremely close to being where I want to be."

The Cavs have no room for error anymore. If they don't win the next 2 games they have no chance. At least they will be playing 2 teams that don't have any reason to play hard (Boston is firmly in the 3 spot, and Toronto is out). NJ has to play Washington (who is playing for home court) today. I don't think they will make it back into the playoffs, but they still have a slim chance.

Sad is way too soft an adjective... alarming is more appropo... they have no guards worth a crap... a decent center they may be letting walk with no compensation... and no draft choices to help for years to come... then to put the nail in the coffin -- an owner who doesn't have a clue...

Cavs won yesterday vs. the celtics but that game was pretty suspicious... pretty close in the 4th and doc sends all his worst guys in and the cavs pull it out... doc says hes going to do the same thing today vs. NJ so unless boston runs out to about a 20 pt. lead i just dont see a nets loss... yet again a colossal failure in cleveland sports

RJ got cleared by team docs to play today, but Lawrence Frank wouldn't let him make the trip. He will be available for the playoffs

Not looking good for the Cavs, as Boston is planning on resting its starters for a good bit of tonite's game against the Nets.
