Butler +3.5 vs Florida (ov/un 132.5) Sat 4:30 ET, CBS

What is the opinion of your basketball mavins before last night's Butler-Wisky game?.....was Florida better off fhoping for Bucky or Butler?

Is it the same opinion now? I mean, no matter who won the Wisky-Butler game, some teams match up better. Are the Gators better or worse off not facing Wisconsin?

two things:

1. are you comfortable with your bigs being pulled away from the basket to cover large polar bears shooting threes? leuer and nankivil are generally solid outside shooters.

2. are you comfortable guarding high ball-screens ad nauseum? if your players aren't proficient with hedging-and-retreating, then you may be in trouble.

3. is your point guard a strong defender? jordan taylor can lord over weak players.

wisconsin is a paper tiger away from home, though. between butler and wisconsin, i would choose to face the badgers in the tournament. before yesterday, they had yet to prove to be better than average away from the kohl center. they added to their poor resume yesterday.

I personally think Florida is overrated. They are a solid team, but I don't see anything special. They can win, but I'll take Butler.
I thought we had no business being a two seed....but look what happened.

This result is more than I had hoped for, to be sure. Gators are more hot and cold than other teams, and we have been "on" at fortuitous times, like in OT last night. That streak has to end sometime. Final Four will not see us advance, but I would love the experience for that team. They really are a "team", with no big name or ego. I really like this group, not so much as talent like the oh-fours, but for their approach to the game.

I didn't get to see the whole Florida-BYU game, but I what I did see left me disappointed in Walker and Boynton. I thought they were more sound than they showed during my viewing. I still have Florida in my Final Four so I'm hoping I foresaw something correctly.

I really like Butler in this game. Historically, Butler has given Florida fits in the NCAA tourney but has came up short each time due to Florida having pros that changed the game at the end - I don't think Florida has that this year. Butler is a bad matchup for Florida.

Tie game under 2 minutes, and you let a 46% FT shooter dunk it instead of fouling him?

Gators up 1, 33 seconds left, Butler ball, time out. Is anyone else watching?

Butler made a big mistake not getting a 2-for-1. They were down 1, and had the ball with 1 minute left, they dribbled for 25 seconds and then called a timeout, when they had 3 left.
