How funny was it when the fan ran out onto the field and took the ball from Favre in the Packers game? I normally think that type of thing is annoying, but that was f-ing hilarious!

Video highlights of his pivotal pass interception in Super Bowl V have received plenty of television time over the years. So has the 1971 video of him whacking a fan who ran out on the field to steal a football.
While the Colts were waiting for the Miami Dolphins to come out of the huddle, a fan ran out on the field at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore and grabbed the ball. While his teammates stood there stunned, Curtis instinctively reacted with a crunching forearm block.
The fan spent a couple hours in jail and a couple hours in the hospital being treated for dizziness.
That player-fan confrontation was even brought up by sports commentators in the aftermath of the recent incident at the Detroit Pistons-Indiana Pacers basketball game, in which players charged into the stands and rowdy fans went on the court in Detroit.
"They mentioned that if Curtis would have been there it wouldn't have happened," he said with a laugh.

The look on Farves face was priceless he was just sort of like wtf just happened. I was really worried that the clock being stopped because of it was going to cost the Bengals in some way, but thankfully it didn't. Hope the guy thought it was worth it, because I am sure he spent the night in jail.

That's exactly what I was thinking, they were out of time outs and I thought this would give them extra time to draw up a decent play except Favre showed his selfish side by not spiking the ball and calling a ridiculous play.

Shame on him.

I think if Farve would have had A. Green, and Walker or Ferguson out there they may have known what he was up to, but having a bunch of newnies out there they didn't know what to expect. The only person that moved other than Farve was Bubba Franks.
