WHEW! Good start Bucks. I'm guessing it would take about 13 wins in this Florida trip to be really successful wouldn't it, considering the opposition? 13-4 sounds pretty darn good. I would take a 11-6 trip though.

Kulbacki for JMU is the real deal. He's going to make alot of money in a few years.

The bullpen let us down in both losses. Not to mention the 5 errors in the 2 games....3 by Arp & 2 by Rupert.

I was also surprised Barrera got the game 2 start......i would have given Shuck the ball in game 2. I assume Hale or Shuck goes vs Seton hall today.

With UNF's early season demise, KSU is prolly our best OOC opponent on the schedule.....a sweep here MAY have really helped us out down the road.

I hate to panic, but we no have room for error in our remaining 14 games in Florida..we need to win 12+ IMO

    scores of note..
James Madison 7, Seton Hall 2
Seton hall 13, James Madison 9
    Purdue 5, Georgia 0
    Wright St 1, Mississippi 0
Miami (oh) took 2 of 3 at #22 Winthrop this weekend
B10 teams went a combined 6-13 Friday and Saturday

I am pretty sure that JB will start today. Hale did not make the trip to Tampa.

Starting pitching was good on Saturday but the Bucks bullpen got roughed up a little. Hopefully they will turn it around today and go home 2-2.

It should be noted though that it was our long relief and some underclassment getting roughed up not Meister. That being said our starts still threw alot of pitches for the first couple of games. The first game Saturday I think was around 92 pitches and the second was @104. Thats alot early on imo. The errors have to stop but again its the first games of the season and our guys only got to practice outdoors what 2 times before the first game? Young team and I think we'll settle in. We have to stay healthy and play hard all year now.

    Baseball classic

OSU tried to hit and run all weekend with bad counts or no counts. They are taking the bats out of the hands of the hitters. Todd has to show some confidence in his hitters. He also put Arp in right field, he played left field at the end of last season and did great. He played most of the fall in left after starting the fall as an infielder after Jake Howell got hurt. He put Zizzo in left field after playing right field most of his career at OSU. He also has to give some of his better veterans some autonomy so they can build some confidence without looking over their shoulder all year. Ruppert will be OK, he is young and is in a tough situation. This is why somebody should have been getting reps at short and 3rd the last 2 years. Most top 10 teams will use the mid week games to get some non-starters some experience. OSU needs to stop playing cupcakes and get battle harden to win the big ten and go to the NCAA tournament. Trying to pad your winning percentage is not going to win you anything of any note. OSU needs to bury these teams not hit and run. Take the hand cuffs off and kick some ass.
