This quote right here in a nutshell explains why Ohio State fans dislike Kirk Herbstreit because it reveals the utter hypocrisy that lies within.

As BB73 pointed out, you do not get to claim the moral high ground when you commit negligent homicide (yes, I think that fits); when you cover-up a sexual assault that probably contributed to the death of another young student; and when you call an offseason suspension of your borderline alcohol dependant wide receiver a form of punishment.

But no one in the media (and especially not Kirk Herbstreit or ESPN) will make any mention of it. You won't see Notre Dame grad George Dohrmann preparing a front-page expose on the sickening scandals that have had a real and potential impact on human lives.

Move along. Nothing to see here, except the hope for a return to glory. Wake up the Echos!

How dare you talk bad about Herbie and the Catholic School of Indiana? I couldn't agree with you more but, we all know tattoos are a far greater threat to the nation than rape, suicide, negligence that leads to a death, and DUI.

I fucking hate Notre Dame. I hate that they get to hide behind a Catholic veil of decency. I hate that their starting WR has 3 alcohol incidents, including driving while being over twice the legal limit (.19), and missed 0 games or practices. That they put a kid in danger just to get some practice film that resulted in his death, not to mention another death related to a sexual assault by a player that went unpunished and left a girl emotionally unstable about the lack of accountability to the point of suicide.

But whatever, I’m about to go get some free tattoos.

Notre Dame. Plays for the tie.
From that day on I've hated them, guided by my dad's example.

Then they did it again when Lou was their coach.

I love how they did not play the skunk bears for 23 years after ND got caught in 1910 using players in their 7th year of eligibility and the game was called off when ND refused to sit the ineligible players.

Man, I bet Bestbuckeye almost drove his Tilbury off the road he was laughing so hard.

Michigan was notorious for that practice as well, players graduated from the East Coast Ivy League schools, moved to the Midwest and continued playing for Michigan and Notre Dame well beyond their collegiate eligibility was up.

It's no wonder those were the glory years for tsun, they cheated like motherfuckers.

Its funny, the tats just don't show up that much in those old photos. I would have never known if you didn't say something.

Yes, but it's the competitive advantage tOSU gained from those tats. It wasn't like tOSU was involved in things which would have not had any impact on the outcome, like using older and more experienced players.

Everyone know that tattoos kill people. DUIs, of course, do not kill people. [Censored] disgusting on all levels. The hypocrisy continues to grow.

I agree. Ridiculous.

Though I guess it shouldn't really come as a surprise, given Kelly's track record/tenure at ND. I was raised a Notre Dame fan (don't worry, I have seen the light and am a happy convert now!) but I haven't had a chance to talk to my family members that are big ND fans. "Oh, but missing all of that practice time is really gonna hurt" Which might actually be true considering Floyd comprises of about half of Notre Dame's offense.

Meh, enjoy your 6-6 record and the Little Caesars Bowl, Irish.
