Anyone interested in starting a second league? I know several people asked to be on the waiting list, so I know atleast a few are interested. I think we'll 'host' our league on U-Sports - Fantasy College Football and Basketball - Home Page. I was playing around with that site this morning and they have some good options. We'll hold our draft on BP and I can upload the results once it's finished. Do you guys want to follow the same settings as the other league or do you want something different?

May end up not using U-Sports. I noticed that several freshman players are not on their players list (Stoneburner & Posey just to name two), so I emailed them and asked if this list would be updated. We'll see what type of response I get.

Ok, got a return email from U-Sports and they say any player can be added to the Players List by request, so no worries.

Regarding the rules of the game, I am of the opinion that running backs should be the backbone of any fantasy team's success, and should contribute the largest chunk to a teams score (if they have a good game that is).

Also, how are we going to determine draft order?

I set up a test league & pretty much modeled the other league's stats (BCS Conferences only + Notre Dame).....

Passing:
1 Point for every 10 Yards
6 Points for every TD
-2 Points for every INT
2 Points for 2 Point Conversion

Rushing:
1 Point for every 10 Yards
6 Points for every TD
2 Points for 2 Point Conversion

Receiving:
1 Point for every reception
1 Point for every 10 Yards
6 Points for every TD
2 Points for 2 Point Conversion

Kicking:
0-49 Yards: 3 Points
50+ Yards: 5 Points
PATs: 1 Point

Defense/Special Teams:
Defensive TDs: 6 points
Punt Return TDs: 6 points
Kickoff Return TDs: 6 points
Safeties: 2 points
Fumbles: 2 points
Interceptions: 2 points
Sacks: 1 point
0 Points allowed: 10 points
2-6 Points allowed: 8 points
7-10 Points allowed: 5 points
11-13 Points allowed: 5 points
14-21 Points allowed: 2 points
22-28 Points allowed: 0 points
29-34 Points allowed: -2 points
35+ Points allowed: -5 points

Since this is a free league, they do not offer scoring bonuses, however their premium membership does ($29.99 for entire league). It is a head to head league (2 divisions) & has a playoff (4 teams/2 weeks- 2 division winners & next 2 best teams).

The lineups consist of the following:

Defense
9 Bench Positions

If these are the settings that we want then let me know or if there are any changes that people want, let me know and we'll figure something out. To determine the draft order, I can draw names out of a hat or we can figure something else out.

I'd like to get a 12 person league and spots are a first come, first serve basis. If we have more than 12 interested people and those already 'in' want to expand the league, then we can. This site allows up to 24 members, but I don't really want to make it that many, so it remains competitive.

Good.

The only settings that I would like to add are 1 point for each pass completion and 1 point for each reception. If we can have a majority agree on that, then I will add it.
