BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2024, Current Champion = MD Buckeye again)

Well, Carl Pavano last 4 innings and gave up 900 runs for my club this afternoon. I'm running Josh Beckett out there tonight, so no matter how badly he gets shelled my ERA for the week should go down. :p

Holy shit, Hanson!

5 outs, 8 hits, and 8 runs, for a 43.20 ERA and 6.00 WHIP

Halladay follows that up with a 9.53/1.76 Sunday shit storm to seal my fate for the week. :shake:

Since cutting Pavano and putting Beckett on the DL, my pitching staff has been on cruise control.

Until this week. Lowe ... Santana ... I'm getting hammered. I'm making a run at posting a double digit ERA! And to add insult to injury, the Dodgers are going to skip Ely's turn in the rotation this week. :smash:

The biggest thing I'm going to take away from this season is that in a few years I'll be able to tell people I had an outfield of

Nelson Cruz
Brennan Boesch
Tyler Colvin
Seth Smith

I just won't tell them I was only smart enough to draft Cruz and got the rest off the scrap heap. :tongue2:

All seriousness, Colvin and Smith can't get regular PT so they aren't that valuable yet but in a couple of years that's going to be an all star outfield.

My "what the hell was I thinking" DFA's for the first half:
Matt Latos
Gio Gonzales
Aurther Rhodes
:slappy:

Amazingly enough my pitching staff is still pretty good. My offense is another story all together.
