I think the closers went a bit earlier than yahoo expected.

I am partially happy with my team, TBD (Soon to be "Reds Killers"). Yahoo grabbed Pujols, Holliday and Sizemore with my top 3 picks. Then i was able to fill holes with high OPS guys like Inge and tOSU's own Nick Swisher. The way our league is set up makes those guys much more valuable.

I'm going to punt saves this year and see what happens. Good set up men and strong starters should keep me competitive in everything else.

If not, well it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Holds are just as valuable in our league than saves.... Makes for some interesting pickups on the wavers because a lot more people will pick up 15 holds than 15 saves...

Speaking of relievers, last night I was sitting there with my finger on the trigger ready to draft Marmol, when (I think) sepia5 took him with the pick immediately before me. I yelled something like "Jesus Christ Cock Sucker Mother Fucking Shit!" right when the wife walked by to give me a good night kiss. She says, "Somebody just pick your guy?" and I explain, "Yeah, that crazy fucker from the Cubs. I really wanted him."

Yea, well, late in the third round I had Reyes, Rollins, and Sabathia in my que, hoping to get one of them as my fourth pick. Going into the 12th pick in the third round, I couldn't believe all three were still available and I thought for sure I'd get one of them. Then the next three picks were Sabathia, Reyes, Rollins. Two of them by whoever Ahiacitian Redlegs is (and whoever you are, damn you). Now I have Andrus as my primary SS instead, which is just fucking great.

That kind of stuff happens to me in almost all of my drafts but didn't at all last night. I can't stand it when it does...

Yeah, I said some completely unpleasant things about Jake last night (assuming he was the Royals fan that kept screwing me). It was like he knew who to take right before me or who I was trying to hold off on for one more round and would snatch them right after me.

Yeah, I'm the guy with the Royals avatar. Rooting for the Pirates isn't enough punishment for me, so my AL team is Kansas City. :(

I did a draft two days ago with guys I've played with for over 15 years and every other pick produced a "Fuck!" just as my turn came around. I thought for sure they were looking at my queue.

Probably my fault, I snagged 5 of them.

I still haven't quit figured out a strategy for head-to-head leagues. I've been playing old fashioned roto rules since I was in high school and had to get the USA Today every Tues & Wed to calculate stats by hand.
