BP donations based on the tOSU-Wiscy game Oct 29th

In order to make some fundraising for BP a successful and even a fun event, we will have a thread like this for most games this fall. Before the game, posters may commit to a donation amount for BP based on particular performance aspects of the tOSU football team. vCash will be given in the same amounts as in the Spring Drive (v10,000 from BP and the same from me), but these vCash amounts can be multiplied based on a poster making successful predictions about what will happen during the game.

To donate, just pick an amount in one or more of these categories (or just create your own) for the Wiscy game, make your predictions in that same post, thanks for supporting BP, and enjoy the game and your vCash!

Donation Categories (these are all just for the Wiscy game):
20 cents, 30 cents, 50 cents, or $1 cash for each point that tOSU scores

$2, $3, or $5 for each touchdown that tOSU scores

3 cents, 5 cents, or 10 cents cash for each yard of total offense for tOSU or a specific player you name.

3 cents, 5 cents, or 10 cents cash for each net rushing yard for tOSU.

Chances to Multiply your vCash (each correct entry will increase your total by your original amount):
1. Name who scores tOSU's first TD: if correct, your vCash is increased
2. Predict Braxton Miller's total offense: if within 35 yards, your vCash is increased
3. Predict which player will have the most net receiving yards for tOSU: if correct, vCash gets bumped
4. Predict tOSU's leading (total) tackler: if correct, vCash gets bumped
5. Predict which Buckeye gets an interception: if correct, vCash gets bumped

6. Bonus - if the TV broadcast asks a trivia question during the game, and you are the first person to answer it correctly within the game thread, your final vCash amount will be re-tripled

An example of how vCash would be calculated:
A poster commits to 20 cents per each Buckeye point, and 5 cents for each net rushing yard. The Buckeyes score 31 points, and they rush for 180 net yards. The committed donation to BP is $15.20 ($6.20 + $9.00).

The starting vCash amount is v$20,000 times 15.20, or v$304,000. Let's say that the prediction of Braxton's total yardage was exactly 35 yards off, so that's a win, and the prediction of Travis Howard getting an interception came true (even though somebody else had an interception earlier in the game). The two correct predictions make the vCash amount equal to v$912,000.

And if that poster was the first one to post the correct trivia answer from the TV question in the game thread, that final amount would be tripled to v$2,736,000. Regardless of the final amount, half of it comes from BP's vCash generator, and half of it comes from my total.

Sample post for someone making a donation:

I'm committing to donate 25 cents to BP for each point that the Buckeyes score against Wiscy.

My predictions:
1 - xxxxx xxxxxxxx scores the first Buckeye TD
2 - xxx yards total offense for Braxton Miller
3 - xxxxx xxxxxxx will be tOSU's leader in receiving yards
4 - xxxxx xxxxxxx will be tOSU's leading tackler
5 - xxxxx xxxxxxx will pick off a Wiscy pass

NOTE - anyone wishing to anonymously make a donation to BP in this manner could send me a PM with the same information.

Threads like this for the Akron and Toledo games raised over $800 for BP!

Thanks to all who have participated. or will in the future, and Go Bucks!

Just to be difficult, I'm going to pledge based on something different. I pledge $2 for each point OSU scores minus $1 for each point Wiscy scores, with a minimum pledge of $20. This not only rewards BP for a good OSU offensive showing, but a good defensive showing as well.

For example, a 31-28 OSU win results in a $34 donation, since 31 x $2 = $62 and 28 x $1 = $28, thus $62 - $28 = $34. But a 31-14 OSU win results in a $48 donation ($62 - $14 = $48). The $20 minimum ensures a decent donation in the event of a loss or a low-scoring close win.

My vCash predictions:
1 - Boom Herron scores the first Buckeye TD
2 - 250 yards total offense for Braxton Miller
3 - Jake Stoneburner will be tOSU's leader in receiving yards
4 - John Simon will be tOSU's leading tackler
5 - Bradley Roby will pick off a Wiscy pass

Thanks so much, all. Every little bit helps in a down/lean year, and this has definitely been that on a number of fronts. You each know how much it means to me that you're willing to put back into the site, but it's worth the reminder -- especially in the glow of that win during an otherwise demoralizing(ly) tough season.

I didn't see this thread before the game but I just donated $50 anyway.

Nothing like some Buckeye euphoria to raise some cash.

(I wouldn't mind a few vbucks, though. The way my vbets are going I could use them)

:banger: The final touch down pass gave Miller 186 yds total offense and made Smith the leading receiver. Whoo what a night.

Did anyone see defensive stats, who got the most tackles?

Here are the numbers for the donations pledged based on Wiscy game results:

DaddyBigBucks: $100.00, with a vCash multiplier of 1

MililaniBuckeye: $37.00, with a vCash multiplier of 1
Tonyank: $10.00, with a vCash multiplier of 3 (2 questions correct)
