This guy was amazing, he was one of the people at osu that truely cared for the students and their wellbeing. Unfortunatly he lost his battle with cancer over the weekend. Someone that will be truely missed on campus and within the university

Ohio State University is mourning the loss of a true Buckeye. Bill Hall, vice president of student affairs, lost his battle with cancer Sunday afternoon.
One of Hall’s last speaking engagements was the June 2005 OSU graduation. He was chosen by the entire student body to be the commencement speaker. A fitting honor for the man known for his tireless dedication and devotion to students.
During his tenure at Ohio State , Hall played a pivotal role in a number of initiatives enhancing university life, like promoting student safety; building new dorms and the state of the art recreation center and also promoting diversity.
Some students say before they met Hall, they were intimidated by his husky demeanor. As a National Guards member for 27 years he walked with authority. The intimidation melted away when students talked with Hall and saw his devotion to students and his passion for Ohio State University.
Those who knew him like former students Eddie Pauline and BJ Schuerger say it’s a somber day for the university.
Hall learned he had cancer of the pancreas and liver last December, just after returning from a trip to Kosovo to deliver Christmas presents to Ohio State Guard members serving there.
Hall continued to work despite the chemotherapy and other treatments. Hall leaves behind a wife and one son.
He was 61.
