Churn happens in recruiting, even for the likes of the Alabamas and Ohio States of the college football landscape.
With chatter making the rounds that the Buckeyes were more prioritizing 2018 linemen, one time Ohio State commit Jake Moretti, a Arvada, CO native, decommitted from Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes on Thursday evening, instead pledging his college football playing future to the home-state Colorado Buffaloes.
Here’s Moretti’s statement from his Twitter account on the recruiting flip:
It’s a bummer, but here’s wishing Moretti all the best. Colorado, currently 10th in the College Football Playoff rankings, is having a bit of a renaissance on the field. If Ohio State had other plans, this potentially works out better for everyone involved.
