    Broadcast Information

The Hoosiers have started the year at 14-13 including a 26-6 stomping of Michigan. The Hoosiers are lead offensively by Jerrud Sabourin who is hitting at a .480 clip and Alex Dickerson (.444, 30 runs scored). The pitching staff is paced by Drew Leininger (4-1 1.66 ERA).

Yeesh..12 of our 21 runs in this series were unearned. The Hoosiers gave that series to us, but i'll take it. We continue to struggle at the plate in B10 play. As a team, we are batting 50 points below our avg outside the conference. Dew and Burkhart are a combined 11 of 51, and have left a ton of guys on base.

We continue to struggle defensively fielding at .948 in league play.

    BUT

Starting pitching has been much improved! The staff staff ERA is a full run lower in league play, but he three man bullpen has struggled a bit (where was Mckinney this series?). i was very pleased by how well we held down the IU bats.

Stephens, Delucia, Kovanda, Hurley and Rupert are carrying the team at the plate with Dew and Dan struggling. Matt Streng has had some huge two out hits and seems to be coming around.

No midweek game this week, and a huge series at Sparty next weekend. We will have to earn wins in East Lansing..Sparty fields better than any team in the b10.

I'm very pleased to be sitting at 4-2..all things considered
