Jets' Edwards: 'We won't lose' to Bengals - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP)?Braylon Edwards(notes) has a message for all those New York Jets fans feeling a bit uneasy about their team?s do-or-die matchup against Cincinnati.

We won?t lose this game,? the wide receiver boldly declared before repeating himself. ?We want it too bad.?
Feel better? OK, not yet? Well, here?s more:

Guys are serious about winning this game,? Edwards continued. ?Guys aren?t talking about New Year?s Eve or family. All guys are talking about is the playoffs, beating Cincinnati. I?m convinced that this team is 100 percent in. I don?t think we can lose this game.?
sure is a bold statement by dropsalot, considering the Bengals likely will pull their starters at some point

Benson, Peko, Geathers, Crocker are the notable inactives, after seeing htat list, I don't think we're going to try to win the game for very long. I see maybe a quarter of playing. I hope we win though I don't want to see Houston because they beat us down last time but I feel we can beat them, I really want to see San Diego ASAP, payback baby.

I'm not worried about playing the Colts or Chargers, Bengals are going to have to beat both those teams on the road to get to the Super Bowl, it really doesn't matter in what order to me.

The plus of winning today:
If New England beats Baltimore and then beats Indianapolis, we would play New England at home if we made it to the AFC Championship. If we lose tonight and play New England in the AFC championship then it is at New England.

The minus of winning today?
We would play the Texans over the Jets. While we should beat both, the Jets match-up a lot better for us to beat.

I think the minus outweighs the plus. Big key is, don't get anybody hurt. I'd rather see the Bengals sit their starters the whole game. No need to even take one snap as a starter, just sit back, and watch the Jets and focus about beating them next week.

keep in mind for those of you that dont want to see the bungals play houston again, that owen daniels is hurt now. he really tore our defense up last time. i really want to win to finish out the regular season, but i would rather play a team like the jets first round at home considering sanchez is a young, inexperienced qb.

Bengals lose, they play the Jets again (At Home this time).....Bengals win, they have to play a very tough Houston team. I say, nail it in and play team B

Rookie QB on the road? Hell yes. Houston is dangerous.

Benson is inactive, and Palmer shouldn't play much, either.
