a truly great (and fun) rivalry that was needlessly killed in the name of "progress"
we didn't play each other very often prior to the 1992 SEC expansion.

2001 - SEC West Champs!!
game was moved to the final week of the season due to the September 11 attacks.
as luck would have it, that game was for the Division championship.
Auburn stomps the Eye of the Tiger at midfield before the game. LSU shocks them with an onside kick to open the game.
Our Tuba player gets in a fight with their kicker at Halftime.
LSU clinches the West, goes on to win the SEC
