Obviously it’s true that you win with players.
If that wasn’t the case, Ohio State wouldn’t have been able to score 58 points against Rutgers, given that the Scarlet Knights head coach Chris Ash ran OSU’s defense for a few years.
The same defense that was so good in Columbus was horrible for Rutgers. Of course, the Buckeyes have some darn good players on offense.
And it was good to see so many of them get involved in the game.
I liked to see that. But did we see everything else we wanted to see?
Scott
No injuries: Haven’t heard of anything significant.
No false starts: Still have some work to do.
Shutout: Yeah boyee.
JC
Be ready: A little bit of a slow start I guess. But there was never any doubt.
Poll this: OSU has the pollsters’ attention.
You watching up there?: I’m sure TTUN knows what Ohio State is doing. But Harbaugh’s guys have some other games to worry about first.
Split them up: Ed Warriner & Tim Beck seem to be thriving in the press box together.
Ben
Health part deux: No major injuries and a good win.
Don’t let up: The pedal was, as they say, to the metal all afternoon.
Shake your groove thing: Buckeyes were grooving all afternoon.
Badgers? We need the stinkin’ Badgers: They couldn’t beat Xichigan. But it was a good effort.
WVa
Nothing but base: Saw a few wrinkles but there are still plenty of special pages in the playbook.
Take it to the house: Silver Bullets didn’t score, but they kept Rutgers from scoring. That’s good, right?
Growing pains: No youthful mistakes here. Everything was rock solid.
Mike M.
Do it all: It wasn’t a completely clean game but there wasn’t much to complain about.
