Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult!
Just watched sportscenter's 50 in 50 about ohio and the only thing they mentioned about tOSU was our rivilary with scUM. Nothing else about the Bucks except Archie. They talked about everything esle the pro football hall of fame, Rock and roll hall of fame and Reds Indians. NO Browns NO Bengals, NO Blue Jackets, NO Crew, NO Cavs. WTF? Nothing about Big Ben Rothlisberger. Are they serious? By far THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY has to be on the list NO Basketball, NO Baseball and didn't even mention OHIO STAE FOOTBALL other than Archie.

Leave it up to EsPIN to talk about the 7 presidents that came from Ohio and completely blow off tOSU.

UUURRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!! :smash:

I agree....that was absolutely horrible...way too much about baseball..even though 98% of ohioans would rather watch football any day over baseball

Nothing about OSU's national championship...not even anything about Ohio State football at all..

wow....

Their mommas always told them: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
 Very true. This reaffirms the fact that EsPIN is out to get tOSU.

What makes this even worse is like I said they only mentioned our rivilary with scUM no highlights no stats.

When I watched the one on TSUN they talked talked about scUM and meatchicken state with full stats and not alot about the Tigers or Lions???? Can they get it right ever?

No offense, but I think that Ohio's having the first American in space, the first man on the moon, inventing manned flight, and having a shit-load of presidents is just a tad more impressive than our football accomplishments. Also, OSU-alum Jack Nicklaus was recognized. At least they mentioned the importance of The Rivalry and showed Archie. Hey, can we Ohioans help it if we have so many world-class accomplishments that they can't fit them all into their segment? Well, they did spend a little bit more time than they needed on the Goodyear blimp...

I thought the whole point of this feature was to spotlight little known sports in each state. (In Oregon, for example, I believe they featured a hot air balloon launch; little or no mention of the Nike Corp. or of the Oregon Ducks.) Anyway, OSU is very well-known across the country. The Reds and the Indians on the other hand........

Yea I was A little pissed last night after I watched the show I think it was more because I was really pumped to see some stuff about the Bucks. But you guys are right I caught the replay of it and after seeing it again it was no where near as bad as I made it out to be.

It was what, 5 minutes long? Considering they were in Canton, it was probably more important to capitalize on the HoF and the other things nearby than go all around the state for material...they are doing 50 states in 50 days, not a lot of time for research and things...

Did anyone notice that they called the Reds "the first baseball team" instead of first professional baseball team? The biggest error was not mentioning Paul Brown IMO

I wish they'd just can that stupid gimmick shit and show some fucking sports. It's bullshit that I have to sit through about twenty minutes of puff pieces about how they make really awesome maple syrup in Vermont, and then at the end they're like, "Oh yeah, and here's a game-winning double hit by somebody on the Pirates. We're not really sure what the final score was from that one."

ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNCL, MTV, VH1......what's the damn difference anymore? They all used to be worth watching, but now they're all full of original "entertainment" which all resembles dung.

I was a little shocked not to see anything about Jesse Owens, the greatest athlete the state has ever produced. Also, given the nature of the piece and the "firsts" kick they were on for part of it, I'm surprised they didn't mention the first paved street in the country was in Bellefontaine.
I was actually waiting for them to mention the Ohio State football scandals since the 2002 season, and was relieved when they didn't. I know that's sad, I'm just not sure if it's sad for me or for them.
