Watson, Crick & A Twist
Getting their goose (or tequila) on younger and younger it seems.

Actually the toddler had the good sense to turn up his nose at the odd tasting and rich mixture of Triple Sec and Tequila. Which is more than be said for the Applebee's who served the toddler the alcohol when apple juice had been ordered.
Toddler served margarita in a sippy cup

Kim Mayorga was confused when her 2-year-old started making funny faces and pushing away the apple juice he had ordered at Applebee's. The explanation came when she opened the lid of the sippy cup and was hit by the smell of tequila and Triple Sec.
The restaurant staff accidentally gave Julian Mayorga a margarita Monday. He grew drowsy and started vomiting a few hours later and was rushed to the hospital.
"I wasn't going to make a big deal about it," the mother told the Contra Costa Times on Thursday, "but then he got sick."
Ah, those first puking moments -

But Applebee's says it was all an honest mistake .. and
The serving appeared to have been accidental, Antioch police Lt. Pat Welch said. Mayorga said her son is now doing fine.
She said the company has been very apologetic and offered free meals, but she added, "If they think I'm going back there, they're ridiculous."

.... and I start thinking, 'hey, I just hit the law suit lottery. Get me a lawyer and a real estate agent. We're movin' on up.'

Re: "Typically if somebody walks out from a restaurant on their check, the server is held responsible for that ticket," said Wilkey.

I didn't know that; however, I can see why the waitress tried to stop them:

Applebee's employee run over by customer in parking lot

An employee at Applebee's is recovering after she was run over by a customer who didn't pay her bill.

Felishia Bridges, 19, was arrested early Saturday morning after Metro police say she left the Applebee's on Thompson Lane near Interstate 65 without paying their $28 bill with an acquaintance, Daniel Humphrey.

Police say she deliberately ran over the employee who had followed her outside to try to stop her.

Bridges and Humphrey were taken into custody after her vehicle was located at nearby 100 Oaks.

Berry Hill Police Chief Robert Bennett spoke with the 19-year-old employee who is currently out of state with family recovering from her injuries. He said fortunately the victim is expected to make a full recovery.

"She was brave, but I don't recommend people trying to stop people like that," said Chief Bennett.

Area restaurant managers like Mike Wilkey of Calypso Café on Thompson Lane said the Applebee's employee probably had a good reason to chase after the alleged swindler.
