ANY REAL Gamblers Here.....

Ive Been Gambling On Football And Really All Sports for Quite a few Years and Made Sometime REAL GOOD $$$$$....

And 1 Thing In all the Years I gambled and even Now Is.... I WILL NOT, AND NEVER DO IS BET On A "Road Favorite"

My Problem Here Is ... MY Buckeyes are a Road Fav...-2...

OHHH I wish Tibor was here to help me

Seriously what do you other Gamblers think....

"THE GAME" this weekend scares me to death...

JMHO

Not a real gambler but never EVER EVER bet on a team that you cheer for. If they win and do not cover something from the win is lost. If they lose and you lose money on top of that you feel even worse. I would stay as far away from a rivalry game as possible IMO. Also, the very sound advice on taking a road favorite holds true more often then not.

It's easy for me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME.

While I have faith that the Buckeyes are going to win (and, IMO, easily cover) it's going to take away from your enjoyment of the game if you're worried about money.

edit You don't bet on a road favorite because it's very hard to win on the road, let alone cover a point spread. The Buckeyes are favored to win by 3 this weekend. You watch. It's going to get to even by Thursday or Friday.

In the NFL your theory of not taking road favorites should be gospel; however, road favorites in college football can actually provide great lines. for instance, when texas plays baylor on the road the line will actaully be better (smaller) than it would be in austin. The 50k screaming bears fans can try as hard as they want, texas is going to cover. Now clearly the instance you are talking about is not the same situation. tOSU is much more talented but this game could go either way. it is a no play for me.

Easy. I bet with my wallet, not my heart. Don't bet on this game, unless it's a $20 pick'em with a co-worker. The college pick'em kills me every week, because I always pick with my heart. Who I want to win/cover vs. what I actually think will happen. I almost never bet top 25 due to that factor. I also never bet the NFL due to parity. I stick strictly to the Boise State vs. Hawaii type of matchups. Those are normally much more predictable, IMHO. The lines don't move as much on those types of games either.

I lay off this game right now. If you want to take the Buckeyes wait and see what the spread is on Friday. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets close to even. If it gets to even, i'd take the Buckeyes. If it doesn't...I wouldn't. I wouldn't want to lose money with the Buckeyes winning by 1...plus I really don't feel like either team should be getting/giving up points in this game.

The betting bible

I actually take bets, for fun...

The betting bible says: 1) dont bet on YOUR team. 2) always take the home team and the points.

IMO, stay away from this, unless you are doing a spot sheet. There are plenty of other games to play.

If you insist on play The Game, take the over.
