Another Hot Teacher sleeps with her student.

My favorite part of this whole mess is that if you look at her friends comments, people still ask her to go hang out or go out for a drink as if she isn't some creep.

It reminds me of Seinfeld when George is thinking about getting with the Nazi girl.

Not all that outragious. She's 22 and was banging an 18 year old. Lucky bastard.

WEAVERVILLE — A teacher’s assistant at North Buncombe High School who was fired for having sex with an 18-year-old student surrendered to authorities this afternoon on a felony charge of sexual activity with a student.

Yeah, this one is more of a "technicality" type thing. Hell, he's an adult and what?, 2 more months and it wouldn't have mattered at all. Big difference from a 40 year old banging some 12 year old...

EDIT: You still got to wonder what goes through people's head though.

She had a boyfriend and worked with autistic kids, it's just wrong. Even if he was 18, it's screwed up, with her job there will be a lot of students that make advances to you partially simply because of your position. If you can't realize it's a dumb idea or at least be willing to wait those 2 months as you said, then I'm all for her getting locked up in jail over this technicality.

She is the third school employee this year to face charges of having sex with a Buncombe County high school senior.
James Patrick Carney, the Erwin High School band director, was arrested last month. Investigators said he had a relationship with a 17-year-old student.
Another North Buncombe High School teacher, ROTC instructor Edwin Danny Reaid, was convicted in January of taking indecent liberties with a child. The student in that case was younger than 16 and there was no consent.

I can tell you this much...if my daughter (or son for that matter) was enrolled in school there, I'd be pulling her ASAP.

You're right, I have to admit...

Wrong?

Yep.

Criminal?

Nope.

(Yes I know the State law says it is)

Fire her and move on. Prosecuting her isn't going to serve the public welfare. She's already lost her job, and a good chance of losing her career. That's punishment enough.
