Just like he did at Oakland, Jose Valverde pisses away a substantial lead in the 9th inning.

This time, it was 4-0 and the worthless bastard gives up 4 runs to blow it.

Tigers ask Phil Coke to pitch the 8th AND 9th inning for the save, and he does it. :)

All the chatter about ARod getting benched for a game and pinch hit for in another, but his single in the 9th today was one more hit than the much younger Robinson Cano has in his last 26 at bats.

But how will we ever live through 2nd basegate? God the whining in baseball for all the whining about kissing the ball and front flips people need to grow up and it's not the players kissing the ball or rolling on the ground.

Ernie Johnson let out an audible groan in the 7th when Cano booted that double play, allowing the run to score. He then spent the entire game crying about the bad call at 2nd....and the baseball world has followed suit. of course the one time the Yanks get a call against them will be when MLB decides we need instant replay.

I didn't watch most of the game so I don't know what happened at second base. Honestly? I don't give a shit. Detroit leads the series, 2-0. That's good enough for me. :biggrin:
