first and for most i dont have the word choice or delivery of steve but

thank you all thos who have served for our country. it is so often overlooked and you guys dont get half the credit you deserve. i truely am thankful for all the thing you have done for me and my country. likewise the role of brothers, sisters, mothers, father, grandparents, friends, cousins, everyone who is closed to our men and women in uniform are often overlooked. as i will not be here this weekend i hope that all of you say thank you to all these people. and especially to those who you know, thank them. even if it seems wierd, do it.

and to all the men and women on here who have served, are serving, or soon will serve- god bless you and thank you for so much that words do not scratch the surface.

Great idea for a thread.

I'd like to take a moment to say "Thank you" to all veterans and active servicemen/women; and a special thank you to all of those who've given their lives so that we can have the freedoms that we all take for granted.

Memorial Day weekend is generally thought of as a big party weekend, people planning boating trips, cook outs, graduation parties and other vacations. At some point over the next few days, please take a moment to reflect on the real significance of this weekend.

As a veteran..........I would like to say thank you to all my friends that are still in the service and to all of those families who loved ones have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Many people go about their everyday lives without thanking of all the people who have sacrificed their lives in order for us to have the freedom we have today.

God Bless.

I would also like to say a big thank you to all of the people that have gone over seas to serve our country. Putting your lives on the line everyday to protect our freedom shows how great of men/women you really are.

I would especially like to say thanks to daddyphatsacs father (my uncle) who just got done serving his one year term a couple of months ago, and to my friend Priv. Jason Sparks who was killed in action a couple of years ago. God Bless and RIP Sparky.

I'd like to thank the servicemen and women of today for tirelessly working to fight a futile oil war in a nation where we aren't wanted and wasting billions of dollars that could be wasted elsewhere like on the poor people on welfare here in the USA or sending to other hostile regimes on the premise that they will feed the poor oppressed people that they keep under their thumbs with threats of murder and torture.

On a serious note:

As a veteran,

-I'd like to thank those who fought before me for providing a nation worth defending.

-those who fought with me to see to it we all got home safe and sound to our families and for the comaradery only we can know

-and those fighting now and into the future for preserving the security of this great nation, defending freedom throughout the world, and proving peace and security where there was none.

GOD BLESS THE AMERICAN MARINES, SOLDIERS, SAILORS and.... Whatever Air Force people call themselves.....

A BIG HUGE thanks to everyone, past and present, who has fought to defend the freedoms I enjoy on a daily basis. I will make sure I stop, reflect, and give thanks during this Memorial day weekend.

Thank you for being so unselfish, Job well done!
