I've always liked them
I've mentioned before and gotten stonewalled on an amazon affiliate program by the higher ups before here. I'm not the answer to everything but from what I understand from sites if you put up a button for an affilate, if I buy the digital camera off of Amazon I play on buying you get 4% I do what I would do normally and buy graduation gifts, wedding, birthday, etc off of amazon and Clarity would make money.

I've mentioned affiliate before and got the cold shoulder on here before but I spend some money amazon every year and since you wouldn't have to be a member of BP to be an affilate if I had a frat bro making a major amazon purchase and I knew about it, I'd steer them to this site.

The other factor is the Upper Arlington/Campus/Clintonville business. Through my various travels in life I've encountoured some businesses int the CBus area that I think could contribute form advertising on BP.

Now with many small businesses and a tight economy there's a logic and leap point on advertising.

I'm a 3rd party in all this. I could go to an area business and say what I think the opportunity is but I couldn't say anything results wise if an Upper Arlington business wouldn't to advertise on here.

I'm not here to here to sell BP on them or Them to BP.

There was an Amazon discussion at one point and Clarity didn't want to get into monetizing the site - and still doesn't, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. It's a good idea to revisit the referral program, especially if we can tie it to things people here recommend. Has anyone done it before? It won't be immediate - the number of plates spinning keeps going up - but it's a good idea. :)

As for talking to people about ads, yes please! If you have relationships with businesses and can recommend advertising on BP to them, that would be great. We'd much rather support local businesses and at the same time gain more control over ad quality. Really, all that is necessary would be to suggest that BP would be a good place to advertise, and if they are interested, they can email [email protected] for more information, or you can pass along their contact info to me and I'll get in touch.
