The Buckeyes top 2017 WR was carted off the field.
Grimes injured
On Friday night, highly touted football high schools Bishop Gorman and St. Thomas Aquinas squared off in front of a national television audience. On both sides, there are Ohio State commits and targets, however, bad news came out of the game as Trevon Grimes, the Buckeyes’ top recruited receiver for 2017, was carted off the field with an apparent left leg injury.
Grimes and No 9. St. Thomas Aquinas lost in triple-overtime to No. 1. Bishop Gorman. But before Grimes suffered the injury, he was doing some serious work, and made some big catches that helped move STA down the field.

Not only is Grimes the top receiver in the Buckeyes’ 2017 class – scoring a .9901 – but he’s the third highest graded player in the OSU class, too. As time goes on, the extent to which Grimes’ injury will be released. When that news breaks, Land-Grant Holy Land will have you covered.
Bolden Shines
On Bishop Gorman’s side, future Buckeyes Haskell Garrett and Tate Martell shined. Especially late in the game, Martell made some on-the-money passes that preserved the Gaels 45-game win streak.
But, defensive back Bubba Bolden, an OSU target, shined the brightest as he picked off two passes against STA. After one of the interceptions, Bolden made an ‘O-H’ on the sideline with Tyjon Lindsey – another Buckeye commit.

Interceptions weren’t the only thing being done by Bolden; he also got his hand on a kick that kept Bishop Gorman chances of winning the game intact.

As of now Bolden is pursued by many of the top college programs throughout the country. The likes of USC, Oregon, Texas, Florida and Louisville are just some of the 21 offers that the four-star safety has received. There is good news for the Buckeyes, though, when it comes to Bolden. The 247sports Crystal Ball prediction has roughly 50 percent of the recruiting analysts believing that Bishop Gorman defenseman is heading to Columbus, Ohio. If he were to go to Ohio State, Bolden would be part of the dominant 2017 class that includes an unprecedented amount of blue-chip athletes from around the country.
