There was a lot of "THE Ohio State University" during primetime in Week 7 of the NFL.
Week 7 in the NFL saw former Ohio State teammates lining up against each other, some making plays on each other and some facing off under the lights. It's always exciting when there are several Buckeyes to watch in a single game, especially when it's one of the biggest games of the week.
Sunday Night Football
Five former Buckeyes suited up for primetime in the Philadelphia Eagles (Malcolm Jenkins) vs Carolina game (Ted Ginn Jr, Corey Brown, Kurt Coleman, Andrew Norwell).
Ginn and Brown were big contributors to the Panthers offense, making big plays all night long. Jenkins continued to show why he was the leader of the Eagles defense with an incredible diving interception and the ability to really annoy receiving corps.

There were several Buckeyes facing off in St. Louis as well, including James Laurinaitis who reunited with former teammate, Browns' wideout Brian Hartline by taking him to the ground.

The New York Jets took on Tom Brady and the Patriots on Sunday, and it wasn't an especially great for Devin Smith or Nick Mangold. Despite the Jets using five receivers, Smith was the least targeted with only one catch for seven yards the entire outing. At center, Mangold suffered a neck injury late in the game, he walked off the field, but could be out depending on the MRI results.
Steelers returned Shazier
After missing several weeks due to injury, Ryan Shazier made his way back into the starting lineup for Pittsburgh -- he had four combined tackles on the day. Safety Will Allen is still out with an ankle injury, but is itching to get back despite being extremely limited. Cam Heyward did not wear his eye black with "Ironhead" written on them, but he did have a good interview on the subject during ESPN's pregame show.
Plays of the week
Corey "Philly" Brown
Brown was able to set up a touchdown situation with a 25-yard catch in coverage. He struggled early in the season with dropped passes so it was nice to see him have success in primetime on Sunday Night Football.

Somehow this was called an interception, but either way, Ginn did not do a great job securing the ball early in the game.

It wasn't just offensive players having a field day in the spotlight, Jenkins had a sick snag for the Eagles just before halftime, setting the team up for a field goal to narrow the lead.
It sure was Dale Earnhardt Jr., it sure was.

- This week on bye were the Cincinnati Bengals (A.J. Hawk, Mike Nugent), Denver Broncos (Bradley Roby), and Green Bay Packers (Corey Linsley).
- Running back Rod Smith is now a Dallas Cowboy, and could likely fill a much needed role with a lack of depth at the position.
- After scoring two touchdowns in the first four games of the year, tight end Jake Stoneburner is inactive for the Miami Dolphins.
- Lingering toe issues are starting to limit San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde, who only had 40 yards on 11 carries.
