49ers -6.5 at Cardinals (ov/un 37.5) Monday

Damn the 49ers are tough. They are systematically taking apart what to this point has been a solid Cardinals defense. As Gruden has noted, they might have the most inventive playbook and they utilize all their players so well. It also helps when Alex Smith doesn't revert to Alex Smith of old.

One of the few teams left in pro or college football that has a defense actually worth watching the game for. Glad I root for them. Glad Harbaugh isn't up north, too. Probably most happy about that.. he'd have Michigan at a scary level.

No shit. Though, Harbaugh vs. Urban could have made for one helluva series...

Would have, but I'm pretty convinced that Harbaugh is the best coach out there right now. And that is most certainly not meant to be an insult to Urban, and I'm sure I'll get shit for it.

Randy Moss just channeled Ginn. Didn't know he still had that kind of speed.

Given what he did at Stanford, and is now doing in SF, it's hard to argue against it. But, I'd take our guy every time.

scUMmer or not, I admire Harbaugh as a coach. Pure, old school, no bullshit, hard-ass on the sidelines.

I'm still giddy about Urban. See my user title. It's not changing until he retires with his 23 national titles.

I just love Harbaugh's style. It's kind of a modern retro offense with beastly defense. He kills the other team with weird running formations, then doesn't let them do anything on defense. Only problem is when they have to come from behind. Not built for that at all.

Which is the only way they'll lose in the playoffs IMO. You have to get them behind, which is no easy task with that defense. You need to pressure Smith like the Giants always manage to do and make him force throws.

If you let them establish the run and grind it out, you're in trouble.
