We're missing the point. Pro players don't sign million dollar contracts with the expectation of taking a hit. If the ball is in the air, your best bet is to ask the receiver nicely not to catch it. If you do anything to dislodge the ball as a DB, you're getting flagged 9 out of 10 times.

I can see where the DB will start playing the game like BASEketball, where he has to psych the WR from catching the ball without touching him. Another reason I don't care for the NFL (that and my Browns suck ass each year).

You're missing the point. NFL owners don't sign pro players to million dollar contracts with the expectation of them getting injured by a hit.

I don't like the pussification of the NFL any more than you, but let's place the blame where it lies.
